About Cornwall Cleaning Services

I’m Mercedes the Owner of Cornwall Cleaning Services. I started the business in 2020 following lockdown. Previously I was a self employed beautician but obviously lockdown had a devastating long term impact on the beauty industry. I was desperate to get back into work but needed a job that accommodated my schedule as a single parent

with limited childcare support.

Initially I started cleaning caravans part time until the beauty industry reopened but then I decided to create my own cleaning business. This expanded rapidly and I employed staff to cope with demand. I started off cleaning holiday lets and domestic

cleans but over time this has grown so now I am able alongside my trained and motivated staff, to offer a comprehensive range of cleaning to meet a wide variety of needs such as: End of tenancy, Builders cleans, Biohazard cleaning, Trauma cleaning

After death cleans, Needle sweeps, Deep and spring cleans, Office cleans Commercial cleaning, Event cleans.

I can provide a county wide service in Cornwall which is dedicated to delivering a high standard with motivated, trained, supported staff with relevant PPE when required. Part of my ethos is to create a flexible workplace for working parents/carers as I personally know the challenge fitting in employment with childcare and what it involves. Also, by securing long term cleaning contracts, I am able to offer my staff all year long employment, not just seasonal.
